PINECROSS is natural timber cultivated from plantation forests. They are kiln dried and LOSP or CCA treated in strict conformance with engineering and chemical standard of ISO 9002 from New Zealand. PINECROSS timbers are dimensionally durable to weather changes. They resist to decay and termite attack with warranty for 25 years (CCA treated).

1. The process begins with cutting tree to gain logs from Radiata pine.
2. Select logs, peel off and saw them to timber pieces in dimension as desired
3. Dry timber (kiln dried) to bring out water and moisture to form consistence and dimensional ability of timber.
4. Grade timbers with engineering principles, both visually graded and machine graded methods to get beautiful yet mechanically straight and strong timbers.
5. The preservation process to protect timber content from rotting and termite attacking is as follows.
• Use clear chemical formula, solvent based LOSP (Light Organic Solvent Preservative) solution to gain such a beautiful timber. LOSP is safe to human beings and environment since it has none of chrome copper or arsenic. Even though application lifetime is not as long as CCA treatment but LOSP produces clearly beautiful timbers with natural Radiata pine color.
• Water based CCA treatment is widely used with structural timbers. Copper in chemical results green and darker color on surface and in timbers. With state of the art manufacturing process in New Zealand, CCA treated PINECROSS’ timbers are homogenous green. No dirty spots or dirty areas are found on timber surface. All manufacturing process is safe and cares for environmental concerns.
o LOSP H3 or CCA H3 is suitable for applications above ground.
o CCA H4 is suitable for applications in contact with ground, on wet concrete surface
or in areas flooded with low level of fresh water.
o CCA H5 is suitable for applications in deep ground or in fresh water.
o CCA H6 is suitable for applications in marine.
6. Before shipping
• Solvent based LOSP treated products can be packed and ready for distribution.
• In contradiction, water based CCA treated timbers must be kiln dried again before packing and distributing. Second kiln drying causes CCA treated products has less stiffness than LOSP treated products. The dimensional ability will be loosing when products are used for outdoor applications.
